Spatial transcriptomics solutions with Visium & Visium HD by Omics Empower
Visium Spatial Gene Expression, developed by 10x Genomics, is a powerful spatial transcriptomics platform that enables unbiased, whole-transcriptome profiling while preserving tissue architecture. By mapping gene activity back to histological context, researchers can uncover spatially resolved gene expression patterns and cell-cell interactions within complex tissues.
Visium provides 55 μm spot resolution across the whole transcriptome.
Visium HD introduces sub-cellular resolution with enhanced spot density, enabling more precise mapping of cellular organization. With the release of Space Ranger v4.0, H&E-based cell segmentation was introduced for Visium HD, further improving biological accuracy while retaining full spatial context.
Together, these platforms allow high-resolution spatial analysis for both fresh frozen and FFPE tissue samples, making them widely applicable in cancer, neuroscience, developmental biology, and immunology research.
