Omics Empower is pleased to announce the availability of Xenium™ In Situ spatial transcriptomics services at its Hong Kong laboratory, located in the Hong Kong Science Park. As a specialized life science service provider, Omics Empower delivers end-to-end spatial and multi-omics research services, supporting researchers in Hong Kong and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Since the launch of the Hong Kong laboratory in July 2025, Omics Empower has been supporting research teams with single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics services, allowing key experimental steps to be carried out locally. This local execution helps reduce sample transit time and simplifies technical communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Xenium™, developed by 10x Genomics, enables direct RNA detection and quantification in situ while preserving tissue architecture, achieving single-cell and subcellular resolution. The Hong Kong laboratory at Omics Empower is the second lab in Hong Kong to operate the Xenium platform, improving local accessibility to high-resolution in situ spatial transcriptomics for advanced research applications, including oncology, neuroscience, immunology, and translational studies.
In addition to Xenium™, the Hong Kong laboratory continues to support 10x Genomics Visium for whole-transcriptome spatial profiling, as well as Stereo-seq, developed by BGI, for ultra-high-resolution and large-area spatial analysis. These spatial transcriptomics platforms can be integrated, where appropriate, with Omics Empower’s single-cell and broader multi-omics services, enabling coordinated experimental design from sample preparation through downstream analysis.
With local single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics capabilities in Hong Kong, Omics Empower is committed to delivering comprehensive, reliable, and flexible research support, while strengthening regional research infrastructure to meet the needs of the Asia-Pacific life science community for spatial and multi-omics solutions.

Omics Empower 位於 香港科學園的香港實驗室,現正式提供 Xenium™ 原位空間轉錄組科研服務。在原有單細胞與空間轉錄組服務基礎上,此次 Xenium 服務的加入,進一步豐富了香港實驗室在空間生物學領域的技術選擇,也讓本地及亞太地區研究人員能更便利地取得高解析度的原位空間轉錄組支援。
自香港實驗室於 2025 年 7 月啟用以來,Omics Empower 已持續為研究團隊提供單細胞測序與空間轉錄組相關服務,讓樣本能在本地完成關鍵實驗流程,減少跨境運輸所帶來的不確定性,同時提升專案溝通與執行效率。
Xenium™ 由 10x Genomics 開發,可在保留組織結構的情況下進行 RNA 原位定位與定量分析,達到單細胞與亞細胞層級的高解析度,特別適用於腫瘤研究、神經科學、免疫學及轉譯醫學等研究方向。Omics Empower 香港實驗室為全港第二家運行 Xenium 平台的實驗室,進一步提升本地研究人員對高解析度原位空間轉錄組技術的可及性。
除了 Xenium™,香港實驗室持續提供 10x Genomics Visium 全轉錄組空間分析及由 BGI 開發的 Stereo-seq 技術,涵蓋不同解析度與組織尺度的研究場景。這些空間轉錄組平台可依研究需求,與 Omics Empower 的單細胞測序及其他多組學服務進行搭配,協助研究團隊更有系統地完成從樣本處理、空間分析到後續資料整合的研究流程。
